Motorola has signed an agreement to acquire push-email purveyor Good Technology. Numbers weren't tossed around, but Good has raised over $200 million in venture capital which means any buyout offer would be significant. About a year ago Nokia announced a $430m buyout of Intellisync, another push-email provider.
Motorola currently uses software from Good in its Motorola Q device. Another major customer of Good is Palm, but it remains to be seen whether Palm will want to send money to Motorola.
Motorola expects the deal to close in early 2007.
