Yahoo has increased its mobile monetization efforts with the introduction of graphical ads designed for mobile devices. The search company just launched mobile text ads last month.
Yahoo expects the first ads in the new program to go live later this week. Yahoo drew 4.3 million mobile users to its mobile search service during the third quarter. Google had 5.2 million which was enough for the top slot. In comparison, Yahoo's desktop search service reaches hundreds of millions of users.
