CTIA IT 2006 -- Amp'd Mobile has announced the inevitable introduction of advertisements in its video content. Herbal Essences will be the first advertiser. Specifics of the ads, such as length, were not announced. Along with the ads Amp'd is trying out a new hybrid pricing plan that combines post-pay and pre-pay elements.
The new hybrid plans provide a chunk of anytime minutes, a set rate for overage and no long term contracts. Plans range from $30 to $100 monthly. Access to Amp'd mobile content is included in the price.
