The U.S. International Trade Comission is probing possible patent infringement by Nokia. Last month Qualcomm asked the agency to bar the sale of certain Nokia products because of infringement. Both companies have been in a long standing legal battle, with infringement claimed by each.
"We will cooperate fully with the ITC and we believe that the filing by Qualcomm is without merit," Plummer said. "We have received no offer from Qualcomm that was on fair, reasonable and nondiscriminatory terms."
Nokia has already planned its exit from the CDMA market (which is primarily the technology that Qualcomm controls).
