CTIA 2006 -- Leading mobile speech-to-text software vendor VoiceSignal has announced VoiceMode 2.0 which it claims is the industry's first continuous dictation solution. VoiceMode 1.0 was revolutionary but pauses had to be put inbetween words for the software to work. With the 2.0 version you can talk normally.
Handsets will need to have VoiceMode built-in, and you won't be able to upgrade your handset to version 2.The software was designed with small memory constraints though, so it should be able to launch on relatively mass market handsets.
