Intercasting Corporation today announced a relatively new service called Rabble on Cingular Wireless. "Rabble is a carrier-grade mobile blogging and social networking application that allows users to create and share media using their mobile phones".
According to the press release, "Rabble takes the blogging and social networking phenomena to the next mobile level, turning the average cell phone into a portable blogging and personal networking device. Cingular Wireless customers with select JAVA-enabled phones can use Rabble to create and distribute their own media, which can include text, photos, opinions, information about events or local hot-spots". Rabble, will cost $2.99 a month.
To date only about 2 percent of cell phone users use social networking on their phones, according to Jupiter analyst Julie Ask.
