Palm CEO Ed Colligan noted during an earnings conference call yesterday that his company will announce three more Treo smartphones in 2006. That's in addition to the 700w which is on track for a January debut on Verizon Wireless.
Colligan also hinted that the new models would differ from existing models in design and price points, perhaps in the rumored attempt to make the Treo a player in the lower-end market. We talked about that rumor back in November.
The Treo continued to sell well in Q2 for fiscal 2006, reaching over 600,000 units. That's almost double from the year ago period.
