Rebranded Sprint opens

Sprint Nextel has combined sales operations with stores opening today to sell both Sprint and Nextel service. The Sprint website has been updated to reflect the changes as well. As part of the changes, SprintPCS.com is now forwarding directly to Sprint.com (Nextel operates out of the PCS band).

Here are some of the other changes:

• The company is kicking off a new advertising campaign
• Sprint voice customers now get the free incoming calls that Nextel customers have enjoyed
• Mobile to mobile calling includes both Sprint and Nextel subscribers
• Sprint Fair & Flexible is now available on select Nextel voice plans
