Google buys another mobile startup

According to
BusinessWeek, Google recently
bought Android, a secretive mobile startup. Earlier this year Google
snapped up Dodgeball, a mobile focused social networking company. Little is known about Android other than that they make software for mobile phones. One of the company's co-founders started Danger, maker of the popular HipTop (branded as the T-Mobile Sidekick).
bq. One source familiar with the company says Android had at one point been working on a software operating system for cell phones.
Google has several mobile offerings, including
local search and an experimental
SMS based search tool.
