Opera releases Java browser

Opera today announced a version of its popular mobile web browser made for phones with Java (J2ME). This version will work on a much larger number of handsets than previous versions, not just smartphones (Windows Mobile, Symbian, etc).
Dubbed
Opera Mini, the software works in tandem with a proxy server that helps do some of the work to speed up the browsing experience. Opera Mini is designed to be used on low to mid-tier phones. It still includes the trademark Small Screen Rendering technology that made the original version a favorite among smartphone users.
Unfortunately, because of the server required to power Opera Mini, Opera is only selling Opera Mini to network operators so you'll have to wait until your carrier gets motivated.
