Amp'd mobile announces $67 million in financing

Amp'd Mobile, an MVNO that expects to launch later this year, yesterday announced that it has raised $67 million in funding. This includes an investment from Universal Music Group which hints that Universal will be a major part of Amp'd music offerings.
Amp'd is going after the 18-35 market by using only phone that have EV-DO high-speed data. An array of data services will piggy back on the EV-DO service to hopefully create a brand.
bq. Amp'd will bring a more relevant, personal experience to wireless lifestyle with unique music, video, community, entertainment, sports and gaming offerings divided into various channels for quick and easy access.
It
came out last month that Kyocera will have a phone launched by Amp'd.
