LG becomes PalmSource licensee
As
expected, LG has announced it has licensed the PalmOS for use in future products. Under terms of the agreement, LG Electronics can develop and market smartphones based on Palm OS.
It wasn't announced how many devices LG has plans for, or even when they can be expected to materialize. But scoring a big name like LG is a big win for struggling PalmSource. The company recently noted that 100% of its development is now on a Linux based version of their software.
