Research In Motion reports Q1 2006 fiscal results
Research In Motion (maker of the BlackBerry) today announced its first quarter results for fiscal 2006. The results were very positive and show that RIM is growing rapidly.
* Revenue of $453.9, up 68% anually
* Adjusted net income of $110 million
* 3.11 million total subscribers, an increase of over 500,000 for the quarter
There has been a
string of interesting legal issues over the past few weeks as the settlement RIM made with patent-holding firm NTP
began to crumble. Most interesting is that NTP has
lost all but one of the patents used in the lawsuit against RIM that resulted in the aforementioned settlement--the one remaining patent is now under review.
