Cingular considering iTunes phone, report
Jun 24 2005 - 08:08 PM ET | Motorola, Rumor
Reuters is
reporting tonight that Cingular Wireless is in talks with Motorola about picking up the coming iTunes enabled phone. The story is based on anonymous sources, but isn't all that surprising considering Cingular's exclusive with the Motorola RAZR V3.
bq. "Motorola and Apple have been talking to Cingular about it using the iTunes phone," according to one of the sources, who asked not to be named.
This also meshes nicely with a recent advisement from RBC Capital analyst. Mr. Sue said that Cingular was in finanl negotiations with Apple over revenue sharing (exactly what revenue is not known--up until now rumor has it that the iTunes enabled phone won't be able to download music.)
