Motorola aims for top spot in China

Motorola aims to regain the top market share position in China according to one of the company's executives. David Taylor, Motorola's director of strategic operations in high-growth markets,
told reporters at the CommunicAsia conference:
bq. "We have a number of products that are customized for the Chinese marketplace and we hope to reclench the ground that we lost"
According to research data, Motorola lost the number one slot in the first quarter of this year. Nokia now leads the Chinese market with 19.7% (compared to Motorola's 12.1%).
Motorola announced 14 new handsets at the show, including several 3G models.
