As part of a broad launch of new Series 40 phones, Nokia today announced the 6280. The 6280 is a 3G handset, with a healthy feature set:
* GSM/WCDMA
* Series 40 3rd edition
* Bluetooth
* QVGA resolution display (320 x 240) with 262K colors
* miniSD memory card slot
* 2 megapixel main camera, and VGA camera for video calls
The Nokia 6280 is expected to begin shipping in the fourth quarter of 2005, at an estimated retail price of 375 EUR before subsidies or taxes.
