Sprint sets Nextel merger vote date
Sprint PCS has
set a date for its investors to vote on the
proposed merger with Nextel. The merger would not change Sprint's role as the third largest US wireless carrier, but it would greatly increase the lead over #4 T-Mobile USA. A shareholders vote has been scheduled for July 13th.
Investors are expexted to rally Sprint's stock if the merger goes through.
