Russell Simmons' Def Jam Enterprises has inked a deal with American Greetings to create Def Jam Mobile. According to the New York Post, the new company with market several types of mobile content, including ringtones.
bq. While most ring tones are based on already released music, Def Jam Mobile has signed artists to produce new tunes solely for mobile phones. These include the rapper Chingy, George Glinton and the rap icon Method Man.
The company has also licensed content from pro atheletes.
