Siemens buyout rumors continue

Shares of Siemens spiked late last week as speculation that a buyer had emerged for Siemens'
fledging mobile unit. A myriad of companies have been rumored in the deal,
including heavyweight Motorola.
The latest round of speculation
centered around Samsung, though the company quickly said the talk was "groundless".
The mobile unit of Siemens lost $179 million during the first quarter of 2005.
