Siemens mobile sellout still on the table, report

Seimens is still mulling over what to do with its money-losing mobile phone division. Months ago rumors swirled that the unit would either be sold or disbanded, but the company denied all reports. When Siemens reports first quarter earnings on Wednesday, many are expecting further guidence on the fate of Siemens Mobile. Analysts are predicting a 125 milion euro loss for the mobile division (compared to a loss 143 million euros in Q4 2004).
Several companies are said to be in talks with Siemens, including Acer (denies), Motorola and Nortel. Previous rumors cited Bird Co, LG and NEC.
