SK Teletech inks EV-DO deal with Nokia

The EV-DO news continues--SK Teletech has
signed a, "Memorandum of understanding with Nokia to sell EV-DO cell phones." Reports put the deal at 7 million EV-DO phones per year. Nokia currently has no EV-DO handsets. SK Teletech is trying to increase its marketshare by using affiliates.
Just yesterday ALLTEL
announced EV-DO service in three cities, while Sprint is widely expected to launch its service in Q3. Verizon Wireless already operates an EV-DO network in most major US markets.
The speedy 3G wireless data technology allows transfer speeds of up to 2.4 megabits per second though 300-500 kilobits per second is more common in everyday use.
