Amp'd, new EV-DO MVNO
Mar 15 2005 - 01:08 AM ET | MVNO
Amp'd is a new mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that will use Verizon Wireless' network, including EV-DO high-speed data. All Amp'd phones will include push-to-talk, EV-DO, a camera and memory card slot. Both Kyocera and Motorola will provide phones at launch.
Not surprisingly, because of the high-speed data connections, Amp'd is highly focused on media. Users will be able to download video and music files and even download those files to a computer.
Look for Amp'd to launch in Q3. Pricing has not been announced.
