Boost Mobile expands walkie talkie service

Boost Mobile has expanded its push-to-talk service to support carriers in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Peru. The Canadian service is through TELUS while the South American service is through NII holdings.
bq. An international surcharge of $.20 a minute will apply to international Boost Walkie-Talkie use from the United States to Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Peru. An international roaming surcharge of $.10 a minute will apply to international Boost Walkie-Talkie use from Baja Mexico, and an international roaming surcharge of $.20 a minute will apply to international Boost Walkie-Talkie use from Canada.
Boost Mobile is an innovative MVNO that uses Nextel's wireless network. Users are charged a flat rate $1.50/day for unlimited use of the walkie-talkie feature. The Motorola i860 was
recently made available to Boost customers.
