MobiTV today announced that its live streaming TV service has been launched for Cingular users. It
launched the service for AT&T Wireless users back in October of last year. The big news of this release is that MobiTV is supported on the
Motorola V180 (available for free with a new activation). The full list of phones is:
* Nokia 6620
* Motorola V3 RAZR
* Motorola V220
* Motorola V180
* Motorola V400 (soon)
* Motorola V600 (soon)
Interested Cingular users: Go to MEdia Net home, select NEWS, select MobiTV and follow the onscreen directions. MobiTV on Cingular costs $9.99 per month and there is a free 3-day trial.
While MobiTV features live content, the frame rate is not full motion. Verizon's upcoming VCAST service will feature full frame rate video, but no live content (yet).
