Nokia firm on 10% sales growth

Nokia is
standing firm on its forecast for a 10% increase in mobile phone sales in 2005,
despite other researchers predicting a fraction of the figure.
bq. In an interview with the Financial Times, Mr [Jorma] Ollila
(Nokia's CEO) said he did not see Nokia's forecast for 2005 as aggressive. The growth would come through "a combination of emerging markets and a good and healthy replacement market". " He said: "Towards the year-end you could even see the 3G forecast as being cautious, there is even some upside on 3G."
Nokia previously announced it planned to ship
40 new models in 2005. Of those 40, half are going to be flip phones and 10 are going to be 3G.
