Verizon, Vodafone, Sprint, Nextel
With
this morning's report that Verizon talked to partner Vodafone about purchasing Sprint (despite Sprint
attempting to purchase Nextel), the wireless industry has been abuzz. Several further reports have been filed since the
Wall Street Journal's that set the whole thing off, including two Reuters stories of special interest:

While conflicting reports concerning "well placed sources" are common, the Journal does not usually miss a story so big. It's likely another story will be in tomorrow's issue, clearing up the confusion.
Shares of Sprint (
FON) traded up over 2% for the day.
