Today: One year of number portability
Today marks one year since local number portability was
enabled for the top 100 markets in the United States. According to the FCC, over 8 million people have changed carriers but kept their numbers in that time.
Also according to the FCC, about 750,000 people have changed a landline number to a mobile phone.
