Nextel has launched the widely anticipated Motorola i860. This is the first iDEN handset with a digital camera. Main features of the handset include:

Easy open push-button flip mechanism

Battery life is often an issue on iDEN phones, and the i860 is no different--advertised standby time is 65 hours while talktime is just 2.75 hours.

Expect to pay $299.99 for the Motorola i860 after a $50 mail-in rebate. A 2-year activation is needed.
