Samsung intros 667 MHz mobile CPU

Samsung today announced a speedy new CPU for 3G mobile devices. The 667 MHz processor fits more power into the same space and should enable more features for 3G handsets: bq. By introducing a structured custom design methodology at the integrated circuit design and evaluation process levels, Samsung was able to increase the speed of its mobile CPU. To further support seamless real time video images and high-density multimedia services, the mobile CPU carries up to 64Kilo Bytes of cache memory. The cost per chip was not announced.
