Sharp V602SH ships

Vodafone K.K. announced that the Sharp V602SH will begin shipping on July 2nd. We first mentioned this phone in May, along with four other phones in Vodafone K.K.'s summer lineup. The Sharp V602SH is the first mobile phone with a optical zoom. Other camera phones with a zoom feature use a technology called "digital zoom". Optical zoom does not lead to a loss of quality, while digital zoom ends in pixelated pictures.
Here's how the features line up:
- 2.02 megapixel autofocus CCD camera with industry-first 2x optical zoom. Also included 40x digital zoom.
- 'Swivel style' design (screen can be reversed 180 degrees)
- SD memory slot
- 2.4 inch (320×240) main screen with 260K colors
