Vodafone Group PLC posted a £9.02 billion loss for the fiscal year ending March 31. This is compared to a £9.82 loss from the prior year. The company also made it clear that it wants to buy back minority stakes in its fledgling Japanese subsidiaries. Most of the problems with Vodafone's Japanese business are blamed on a botched rollout of 3G.
Vodafone today launched 3G service in Spain and Italy.
