2.8 million port their numbers
It was
announced today that since November, 2.8 million Americans have taken advantage of number portability. The FCC says that the number had only a minor effect on the overall "churn rate" for the wireless industry.
May 24th is the number portabilty deadline for all markets--November was just the top 100 markets.
