NTT DoCoMo announces mova 506i i-mode phone series

NTT DoCoMo announced a new series of mobile phones that each feature megapixel plus cameras. The mova 506i i-mode series is made up of 3 different 2G phones. Each phone in the 506i series has:
- Camera with an effective resolution of more than one million pixels
- infrared port (transfer files and double as remote control)
- Ability to read JAN Code and QR Code for quick print-based data entry
- QVGA LCD with a size of 320 x 240 pixels or larger
The individual phones are the D506i, F506i and N506i:

- "Voice Shutter" to operate camera shutter by repeating a pre-recorded word.
- Voice recorder function to store up to 174 minutes of sound.
- Memory Stick Duo
F506i
- CCD camera with 2.04 mega-pixel effective resolution
- Fingerprint sensor for locking/unlocking the handset keypad
- mini SD
N506i
- 180-degree screen rotation feature that enables voice, e-mailing and browsing while handset is closed (after being opened and rotated).
- TV hookup capability for viewing of photos and video on a TV
- E-mail "read-aloud" capability
