Wireless leaders agree on push-to-talk standard

Three big players in handsets agreed to run joint interoperability tests for push-to-talk over cellular (PoC). Ericsson, Motorola, and Siemens all hope to have the new products out in the second quarter of 2004.

Nokia is using its own "pre-standard", but said its hardware will run with the run agreed upon by the above companies.
