Moblogger forced to stop at Oscars [updated]

While the red carpet is usually reserved for photographers, camera phones are
not welcome. Emmanuelle Richard, a freelance journalist, was using a camera phone to "moblog" (taking pictures and posting them to the internet wirelessly) and was asked to stop for security reasons. Emmanuelle's pictures can still be seen on her
moblog.
Services like
Buzznet and
TextAmerica make moblogging quite simple.
In a bit of irony, Motorola gave its V600 handset (a camera phone) to all the celebs in the infamous Oscar gift bag. Hopefully the V600's all stayed in the bags.
