Sprint to combine tracking shares

Sprint today
announced the combination of wired and wireless stocks. Interestingly enough, one of the cited reasons for the change was to make it easier for a takeover.

The PCS common stock will be eliminated and each share of PCS common stock will convert automatically into .50 shares of FON common stock on April 23, 2004.
