NTT DoCoMo let us know they will begin to ship the first phone from the FOMA 900i series at the end of the week. We reported on the series back in December 2003.
The F900i is made by Fujitsu and sports among other things, a Flash enabled web browser. The whole 900i series has much longer standby (up to 3x) and weigh about 20% than DoCoMo's previous 3G offerings.
The unique feature of the F900i is its fingerprint sensor that allows secure access to the phone and its data. It's the first time we've heard of this technology, but security is likely to become a hot button issue as we put more and more on our mobile phones.
Other notables include a 1.33 megapixel digital camera, a miniSD slot (16MB card included), and USB sync.
