Motorola today released its 4th quarter earnings statement. Sales of $8 billion resulted in a net profit of $489 million. Although that's nearly three times Q4 2002, mobile phone sales dipped 3%. Motorola cited delays in camera modules for the lost sales, a topic we touched on late last year.
"During the fourth quarter, PCS [Personal Communications Segment] launched 21 new handsets – 10 featuring color displays with integrated cameras, eight featuring color displays and three others with monochrome displays."
