Bell Labs meshes privacy with location tracking

Bell Labs
announced that it has developed software that uses
location based services, but still allows customers to retain some sort of privacy. Location based services are those that provide data to customers based on location--such as traffic reports and
child tracking.
Bell Labs' twist is that it allows the customers to choose what data goes where. If done right, this could be a big boon to the mobile software industry and consumers alike.
