Cingular in talks with AT&T Wireless

touched on the Cingular / AT&T Wireless merger rumor
before, but it
now seems to be moving past the rumor stage. According to the piece by the Wall Street Journal, the two companies are in active talks. AT&T Wireless stock (
AWE) rose over 5% today on the news.
