Cingular reports huge customer growth

Cingular Wireless had a great quarter... Posted higher than expected earnings on a lot more customers than it had expected. The company added 745,000 new customers during the quarter, which helps strengthen its postion as the # 2 wireless carrier in the US (behind Verizon Wireless). The company is also ahead of schedule with its GSM network expansion. As of now, 92% of its network has GSM connectivity.
