Kyocera launches MTV/Virgin phone
Kyocera has released the rumored MTV / Virgin phone. The co-branded Slider V5 MTV Edition is aimed at the youth market who most likely lack the credit needed to score a regular phone. As with all
Virgin Mobile phones, the Slider V5 MTV Edition's owners pre-pay for airtime.
The phone itself is pretty advanced for a pre-pay (typically very simple phones due to the ideal low cost), it sports a color screen and sliding keypad. All the fun doesn't come free though, it also boasts a $159 price tag. However, discount retailer Amazon.com is selling the phone for a mere
$109.99--not bad for a color screen phone without a contract. .
