Trade your dorm room in for a BlackBerry

reports on a Canadian university that is so pressed for on campus housing that it is willing to give a BlackBerry, laptop or a desktop PC to anyone willing to move off campus for at least a year. The sudden crunch in housing has come about because up until now, Ontario has had a 13th grade. It's gone this year so not only are 13th grade grads starting off at the university, so are the 12th grade grads.
In case you were wondering, 8 months of free air time was included with the BlackBerry. Otherwise it was a pretty bad deal if you chose it over a laptop or desktop. Only 41 students have sold out (the school was hoping for a 100).
