Korea Takes Anti-Spam Stand

Korea has taken a
big step to curb mobile spam. They stopped local mobile carriers from launching a common wireless Internet platform called WIPI until effective anti-spam measures are made.
Of course, there is a downside as well... The government wants to censor violence and other promotional images that can be "detrimental to the mental health of teenagers". The country already blocks downloading games and other materials.
