Nokia's New Dual Mode GSM/WCDMA Phone

According to the company, Nokia has started commercial deliveries of the world's first dual-mode 3GPP compliant GSM/WCDMA. It sounds like a really neat idea as it's able to handle seamless handovers (from GSM to WCDMA and back).
The Nokia 6650 is expected to become available in Europe, Asia
and Japan as mobile operators roll out their 3G services.
Depending on the carrier's network, it can operate as a plain GSM phone, combo GSM/3G or just a 3G. This kind of phone may very well help foster in 3G acceptance worldwide--buy one phone and you can still use it when the networks get upgraded.
