LG Mobile Phones has announced 5 new models for North America at the CTIA Wireless conference in New Orleans. The phones vary widely in price/features but they all look decent:
* 6000: On board camera, 262K color TFT screen on the inside, an OLED for the outside, MMS (really starting to catch on), and polyphonic ringtones. The use of OLED is a killer feature--look for this to be big at the end of '03 and throughout '04.
* 5450: On board camera, 260K color TFT screen, and Java (great for getting more out of your phone... especially if you're a programmer).
* 3100: small/stylish folder design, Openwave 4.1 browser.
* 4050: GSM 850/1900, 65K color STN LCD on the inside, 256-color OLED on the outside, folder design, class 10 GPRS, MMS, Java, infrared (What?! No Bluetooth?).
* 4010: GSM 850/1900, lightweight folder design, class 10 GPRS, EMS, WAP 1.2.1 browser, 40-chord polyphonic ringtones.

Update: In the US, LG phones are usually used on the Verizon Wireless network.
